Rainbow Cake from Baked In - Review

Join the latest baking craze by making a fabulous Rainbow cake from Baked In. The kit provides practically everything you need to make the cake. All you need to provide is butter or margarine, eggs and some milk,

The kit includes 4 baking tins, and the baking paper already cut to the right size.

The instructions are all on the back of the box and are very clear and easy to read.

It really is a fun cake to make.

I love the fact that it’s such an impressive cake to look at. The colours are natural so there are no Nasty synthetic chemicals to worry about. This certainly doesn’t compromise the colours of the Rainbow Cake at all, they are bright and well defined.

The kit comes with all of the ingredients weighed out so you get the bake from scratch experience without any of the hassle.

The Rainbow cake would make a perfect birthday cake, or any celebration cake really.

My green and orange layers are slightly thinner than they should be. I was being ’helped’ by a 5 year old. She saw me test cakes with the back of my hand to see if they were cool enough. I was mixing up the butter icing to decorate the cake and noticed that 2 of the cakes were flat in the middle and squashed onto the cooling rack. I asked if she had tried to test them like she’s seen me do. She said no, she hadn’t tested them with the back of her hand, but she thought she had heard a noise by the window and wondered if it could have been an elf playing a trick on us. She then just stood there nonchalantly licking cake off the back of her hands 😂 I had to do a 'bit' of cake reconstruction.

All in all, this is a great cake to make. It’s fun, colourful and rather delicious.
